next up from fear of flying we have pawas, originally from india and now based in cologne. pawas is currently in a bit of a groove on the production front with releases on adam krolls excellent squonk label and also with an ep forthcoming on germanys flash records with good friend daso. title track >playtex< is a twisting and turning groove through the deeper echelons of minimalism, very fx heavy with wibbles, whooshs and tripped out noises aplenty. one for the >hazy< moments on the dance floor with its hypnotic groove bound to lock them in until the early hours. >nylon< delivers a summertime injection in the form of an upliftingslice of niceness...

part 2 with more darkish acidic / minmal techno madness

welcome to our 4th release with hot new talent tim gregor providing a rather splendid ep. you might not have heard of tim before but we reckon youll be hearing quite a bit from this talented fella in the coming months…following in the footsteps of his better known brother, mark-henning, tim takes up the minimal baton with aplomb, producing 3 tracks of teched up treats. starting with >subterrain<… a right heads down minimal groove if ever there was one, kicking off as it means to go on with a right big dollop of funk in the form of a wibbly, bowl quivering b-line and those oh so important funked up hi-hats. dollops of tripped out fx and breaks & builds aplenty keep the hips wiggling..

pinknoize are a fresh production duo from west london with this release seeing them lay down some dancefloor friendly grooves which get locked into a soulful cycle of talking synths and playful percussion. like morgan geist topped up with a big dose of glitch juice and a bit of skandi- disco flavour thrown in, radical specs will suit funk lovers with its drunken grooves and space-laden atmospheres. high grade big-wig tom clark leaves all the big noises at home and turns up with an introspective almost sarcastically playful minimal work-out on his rmx while hot talent lee mortimer turns in an altogether more cranking and snarling electro tinged house mix, stretching the squelches and bleeps of the original over a dance floor friendly banger.

"access denied" is a surging, swinging, darkside monster thats relentlessly tricky and funky. the detroit pads are seriously tripped out and swamped in glitchy beats and stepping hi-hats, and theres some serious low end; its a hell of a track. regis and female are responsible for some of the best uk techno ever made. here they contribute c/chaos; performed live at the orbit in leeds, its simply massive, propelled by downward twisting strings and utterly slamming, intoxicating electronic rhythms. techno luminaries the 65d mavericks are renowned for their driving but innovative techno. "wiretap" is well up to their high standards."
